How many days do you actually need in Marrakech?
Enough to slow down, not so many that you run out of medina.
Two full days covers the essentials: the Jemaa el-Fna and the souks around it, the Bahia Palace, and either the Majorelle Garden or the Saadian Tombs, depending on what you'd rather see. That's enough for a first taste, not enough to feel like you know the city.
Three to four days is the more comfortable number, and it's what we usually recommend if Marrakech is your only stop or your last one. It leaves room for a hammam, a cooking class, or a day trip into the Atlas foothills without every hour being scheduled.
If Marrakech is one stop on a longer route, paired with the desert, the coast, or the imperial cities, two days is genuinely enough, since you'll see more of the city's rhythm from a riad rooftop in the evening than from ticking off a fourth museum.
The exception is heat. In July and August, mornings and evenings are when the city is actually pleasant to walk, so a longer stay lets you spread sightseeing around the worst of the midday sun rather than push through it.
