Private or group: what actually changes on the road
The difference isn't comfort so much as control over the day.

The usual sales pitch for a private tour is comfort: your own car, no strangers at breakfast. That's true, but it undersells the bigger difference, which is control over time.
On a fixed group departure, the itinerary is set before you book, and it has to work for everyone on the bus. That means compromise built in from the start: the stop you'd have skipped, the one you'd have lingered at, both get the same twenty minutes.
A private route lets the day bend. If a village market is worth an extra hour, you take it. If you're tired of ruins and want to sit at a café instead, nobody else's schedule is affected. Over a week, those small decisions add up to a genuinely different trip, not just a more comfortable version of the same one.
The trade-off is price: private transport costs more per person than a seat on a shared bus, especially for solo travellers. For two or more people travelling together, the gap narrows quickly, and for a first trip to Morocco, where you don't yet know what you'll want more time for, we think it's usually worth it.
