Casablanca to Rabat
A short drive up the coast to the capital, founded in 1146 as an Almohad military base, with the afternoon free for the whitewashed Kasbah of the Udayas, built by the third Almohad caliph, Yaqub al-Mansur, above the mouth of the Bou Regreg river, and the Hassan Tower, one of three 'sister towers' along with the Koutoubia in Marrakech and the Giralda in Seville.
