Marrakech to Casablanca
North to the coast, with the Hassan II Mosque in the afternoon. Its 210-metre minaret is among the tallest in the world, and the building stands partly out over the Atlantic. The evening is free on the Corniche.

Casablanca to Tangier
We follow the Atlantic coast north, stopping in Rabat for the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas, and in Asilah if time allows, a small walled town of whitewashed lanes and murals. We reach Tangier in the evening, the port city where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.

Tangier to Chefchaouen
After a morning in Tangier, with Cap Spartel and the old medina as options, we drive into the Rif toward Chefchaouen, the land turning greener and hillier. We arrive as the light turns the medina's blue-washed walls a deeper shade. An optional walk to the Akchour waterfalls through the Talassemtane forest is possible on request.

Chefchaouen to Fez
After a morning in the blue lanes, before the day-trip buses arrive, we drive south through the Rif foothills and onto the Sais plain, arriving in Fez with the evening free.

Fez Guided Visit
A full guided day through the Chouara tanneries' 11th-century dye pits, the carved Bou Inania madrasa, the ninth-century Al-Qarawiyyin mosque and university, and the working leather and metalwork souks.
