Marrakech to the valley
A short drive up into the High Atlas foothills, either the Ourika or Imlil valley depending on what suits you. The road climbs fast enough that the air noticeably cools within the hour. We arrive in time for lunch and an easy afternoon walk between mud-brick Berber (Amazigh) villages to get oriented.

Village to village
A full day's walk between two or three villages along stone irrigation channels (seguias) and walnut groves, with a home-cooked lunch (usually a vegetable tagine or couscous) at a family home along the way.

Either a half-day at the weekly village souk if the timing lines up, mint, saffron threads, and mountain honey sold from the same stalls as sandals and mule harnesses, or a longer walk up toward the ridgeline for wider views. We decide together the evening before.

Return to Marrakech
A relaxed morning, coffee on the guesthouse terrace, one last short walk if the group wants it, before the drive back down to Marrakech, arriving by early afternoon.
