Fez to Ifrane
A short first day up to Ifrane, built during the French protectorate in a deliberately alpine style, with a forest walk near Azrou where Barbary macaques often come close enough to watch from the path.

Ifrane to Merzouga
On to the desert via the Ziz Valley's palm oases, with stops built in for the kids to stretch their legs.
